PlateRite Ultima 36000
The PlateRite Ultima 36000 is a large, multi-format thermal platesetter that can output up to 28 x 36-page plates per hour (Z version), but will also image every other plate size down to 4-page format. Available in three versions for different productivities, all feature an advanced 512-channel imaging head utlising GLV™ (grating light valve™) technology.
Large, multi-format output from 4-page to 36-page:
The PlateRite Ultima 36000 can output large-format plates up to 2100 x 1600mm in size. It can also output plates as small as 650 x 550 mm The PlateRite Ultima is in a class of its own-a true multi-format platesetter.
Advanced 512-channel imaging head:
GLVTM technology has been used to develop a revolutionary multi-channel imaging head that enables remarkably high-speed and high-quality exposure. This cutting-edge imaging head features 512 individual laser beams that expose plates in wide swathes, enabling the PlateRite Ultima 36000 to deliver unbeatable throughput without sacrificing quality.
Automatic inline plate punching:
With optional inline punching, plates are punched immediately before being mounted on the drum. Inline punching provides greater registration accuracy than either manual or off-line punching. It also helps eliminate human error and supports faster press make-ready. Up to ten punch blocks can be mounted in the platesetter and then selected during output according to the plate size and press type required for the job.
Reliable automatic plate loading:
Automation is a key element in the handling of large format plates. The extremely reliable plate handling system is integrated into the design of the PlateRite Ultima 36000. No contact is made with the sensitive emulsion side of the plate any stage during transport, eliminating the risk of damage to the plate. The optional automatic plate loader is available with four cassettes allowing up to 300 plates online in four different sizes. Interleaf paper is automatically removed prior to the plate being loaded. The PlateRite Ultima 36000 is also equipped with an automatic plate loading table that can be used to load plates into the platesetter one by one. The operator simply places the plate on the slanted loading table; the rest of the plate loading process takes place automatically. Plates are then automatically delivered to the plate processor via the optional bridge (ATM) or an optional plate receiving table with the E version).
High quality and productive plate making when used with Fujifilm Brillia thermal CTP plates:
The PlateRite Ultima 36000 achieves optimal productivity with Fuji Brillia thermal CTP plates. The high sensitivity of the plates allows the platesetter to image at its fastest speed.
Highly productive dual plate imaging:
The advanced PlateRite Ultima 36000 can image two plates (up to 1030mm x 1600mm) together on the drum (SD & Z version). The reduction in plate imaging and handling time delivers a significant increase in productivity, up to 59pph (1030mm x 800mm) can be produced.
